Maine based writer Sarah Cottrell is the voice behind Housewife Plus at the Bangor Daily News and is a regular contributor to Scary Mommy. She is a co-author in several books including I Still Just Want To Pee Alone from the New York Times Bestselling series.
In 2012 Sarah earned her MFA from the University of Maine Intermedia Program. Since then her work has been published on many popular parenting websites including Huffington Post, Babble, Mamalode, The Mid, In The Powder Room, Mamapedia, and Scary Mommy.
Sarah’s work has been published in the anthologies, Clash of The Couples, Scary Mommy’s Guide To Surviving The Holidays, I Still Just Want To Pee Alone, Only Trollops Shave Above The Knee, and It’s Really 10 Months: Special Delivery.
In 2015 Sarah had the great honor to produce LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER SHOW Bangor. The show featured 12 fantastic local women who told haunting, beautiful, and funny stories in celebration of motherhood. The show raised funds in support of Spruce Run Womancare Alliance. Sarah is a freelance writer living in mid-coast Maine with her boat-builder husband and two loud boys. When she is not chasing her kids or trying to clean mystery stains out of cloths she writes goofy blog posts for the Bangor Daily News.
