Sarah Cottrell is a member of the SAHM (Stay-At-Home-Mom) Club and proud herder of two youngsters who regularly feature in this blog. Occasionally her husband stumbles into one of these posts too. In 2012 Sarah earned a master’s degree in fine arts that was promptly shoved to the back of a closet where it was placed under temporary house arrest. Her once productive home artist studio is now the room where appliances go to die. Or where time out happens for plastic swords.
Housewife Plus started as a place to describe what it is like to live and raise a small family in rural Maine. Sarah and her family routinely experience misadventures in homesteading, homeschooling, running the most basic of errands in public, and surviving bedtimes. When she is not Mom*ing it up, Sarah is a freelance writer and editor. She is currently writing her first book, which is a satirical parenting manual. Readers may anticipate excerpts to appear in this blog from time to time.
Sarah’s work has been featured in a variety of online magazines. Check out Happy Hour to keep up with the fun. You can also follow her on Twitter @housewife_plus.
